Tonkolili District College of Health Sciences was established on the 17 th of September, 2012 and is designed in line with the Health educational programmes of the ministry of health and sanitation (MOHS), and human resources for health development plan of Sierra Leone. TDCHS approved as a company limited by guarantee and is supported by the Masanga Hospital Rehabilitation Project (MHRP). To ensure the success and sustainability of the college TDCHS and MHRP are working in collaboration with the Tonkolili District Council, the District Health Management Team (DHMT) and other Health development partners. The college has close relationship with institutions in Denmark and Norway, which provides highly qualified guest lecturers to build a strong educational system in Tonkolili District and the Country at large. TDCHS puts emphasis on primary Health Care with particular emphasis on health promotion and maintenance and prevention of diseases.
